A bit about us:
Introduction:
Youth International Initiative Association is created from a group of youths who after participating in international programmes and activities, concluded that these experiences had been very important to change their life.
Therefore, they decided to share them with other young people, collectives and associations, to enhance the interest in participating in international programs and exchanges, learning languages​​, realizing voluntary work, raising awareness, tolerance and respect for other cultures, etc. Thereby contributing to personal and professional development of young people.

Aims:
–          Promoting the creation of plans, programmes and projects that have a positive impact on youths.
–          Increase knowledge the youths on that.
–          Carry out studies and investigations to augment the existing knowledge about youths and their living-conditions.
–          Developing educational activities directed at: youth and people that work with them on a local and international scale.
–          Improve the integration and the development of citizens on different levels: education, employment, socio-cultural activities, health, sports, languages and intercultural learning.
–          Contributing to the development of the countries in biggest need and of the  most disadvanteged part of the population.

Activities:
Our association develops our activities in the Socio-cultural Center “El Consul”, sharing place and some activities with other organizations to create an intercultural and inter- generational space. At the moment, we are working in two areas –  local and international.
We are looking for two different kinds of volunteers:
– One skilled in graphic design and media, who will be able to support us updating our website and social networks, to create our paperwork (like folders, brochures), edition of video and photo and desing posters of our activities and news.
– The second one more interested in the social work, supporting our workshops and with iniciative to create new workshops in our organization. We maily work with youth people, but (s)he could create a new one with elderly people and so, for a couple of hours a week… Also his/her role would be supporting us within the program Erasmus+.

Both profiles need a good level of English, and for the second one, also be able to communicate in Spanish language.
Locally:
-Youth’s career counselling: we inform about professional training opportunities and about employment, we give advice on writing applications and job-search.
-By creating the School of Spanish Language and Culture we want to simplify the integration of foreigners into our society by improving their knowledge of the Spanish language and culture.
-Study room an library – an open space with access to books and the Internet, reading workshops, meetings, etc.
-Workshops: traditional dance, hip hop, international cooking classes, body language, theatre, recycling, environmental education… etc.
-Get involved! Activities formed at the initiative of a group of youths and/or professionals, to whom we offer our support and collaboration, depending on the interests of the people.

It is very important for us the motivation of the candidates and also if they can bring new ideas of workshops to do with our users…
