Projekt Active Together jest kontynuacją trwającej już aktywności dwójki wolontariuszy. Patrycja i Konrad przebywają w Aradzie od października. Jeżeli i Wy chcecie przeżyć przygodę życia, podobnie jak oni, aplikujcie już teraz!

Project Title:  ACTIVE TOGETHER

Duration of the stage: 7 months

Activity Dates: 06.05.2015 – 05.12.2015

Host community: ARAD, ROMANIA

Participant countries: Italy, Austria and Poland

Placements: 2 volunteers .

The OBJECTIVES of the project are:

1. Developing and increasing the key competences of young people, in the wide context of the need to create equal opportunities in education and labor market

2. Developing and strengthening transnational cooperation between organizations that work/cooperate in the youth field

3. Promoting active citizenship in the young

4. Promoting social inclusion and solidarity among young people

5. Promoting a healthy lifestyle, especially through sports activities – outdoor

6. Promoting volunteering among young people

The EVS  volunteers will be implicated in the following type of activities:

1.” Bicyclists Amateur ”
-Workshops initiation of cycling
-Workshops on maintenance/ repair/recondition bikes
– making routes for bicycless in natural areas of the city and county of Arad (eg Nature Reserve area „Mures Floodplain” of Arad, Siria Hill etc.)
– campaigns to promote cycling as a mean of alternative transportation and volunteering
– participation in 'Arad Cycling Cup „contest cycling event for fans of all ages (by category) held annually (in May) by Arad City Hall in partnership with the” County Volunteer Center Arad „(http: //www.aradculture.ro/2013/05/cupa Arad-the-bike-2013.html)

2.”Come with us!”
– Activities for expanding green space by planting trees, shrubs, flowers etc.
– Ecological activities of public spaces and areas from Arad and Ineu
– Out Door activities in the nature and forest.
– Sport activities (football, volleyball, handball, etc.)
– Making trails in Ineu city
– Cleaning of sport fields or areas suitable to be used in this sense (eg for the development of outdoor sports like running, marathon, mountain);
– Session of „team-building” / path finding / orienteering etc

3.” Poney Club”
– Workshop for initiation riding
– Maintenance activities for the horses
– Support activities to promote horsemanship as alternative-free leisure among young
– Activities to promote volunteering in the „Poney Club”

4.Workshops interactive language/Conversation and promoting elements of culture and civilization of the countries of origin of EVS volunteers
5.Promoting The “Erasmus+” Program in the field of young people and organizations in Arad

The volunteer will be implicated also, every week in the Romanian language courses provided by the Hosting Organization, on the weekly evaluation sessions with the local facilitators and on the weekly mentorship sessions.
The working program will be 5 days/week from Tuesday to Saturday, 7 hours/day.

Positive attitudes in EVS The volunteer should take an active role in setting up her/his EVS project together with the promoters, and this should be encouraged by the Sending, Host and Coordinating Organization.

Accommodation: The volunteer will receive free accommodation. The volunteer will sleep with another persons in the room.In each room there are going to be accomodated 2-3 volunteers from the same gender. The rooms may have: beds, sofas or matresses – depending on the room’s dimension. The volunteers might or might not have a room for meetings and discussions, depending on the space available. They will also have acces to an equipped kitchen.
The volunteer will not have a fix schedule established by the coordinating/hosting organization, as a school schedule, but will be given the opportunity to learn how to organize himself/herself. In some cases the schedule is connected also to the partners’ schedule (including here: schools, centers, etc.).

Working hours and days off: the volunteer will perform his/her tasks between 09:00-19:00, up to 35 hours/week, 5 days per week (from Tuesday to Saturday). The volunteer will receive 2 days holiday/month for the duration of the project. The National free days from Romania will be considered holidays also for the volunteer.
