We wish to offer possibiliites to build new partnerships with a positive influence on the local community. We want to help volunteers to come up with new ideas and also to help them implement these ideas. We also want to widen their experiences.
Our organisation is able to provide good conditions for 4 volunteers.

The volunteers can participate in the following activities:
• Preparing intercultural programmes in the youth club, “Thecko” – teaching young people about EU programmes under the Youth in Action programme.
• Organising workshops for secondary schools in Rychnov
• Creating websites about European programmes for young people
• Preparing exhibitions about culture and the life of young people in different countries
• Help with preparing, organising and implementing sport or cultural events for children, schools or the public
• Participate in making a database of photographs, making exhibitions of current activities throughout the whole year
• Preparing and helping with workshops in non-formal activities (dance, ceramics, sports, cooking, languages, arts, music…)

Volunteer profile
We expect a comparably independent, creative and adaptable young person who is able to work in a team.
Our project is found in the Eurodesk database. The project description there contains possible activities of the volunteer in our organisation.
Compliance of organisation’s needs and the volunteer’s interests: the volunteer should be interested in children and activties for them.
Working with children necessitates volunteer’s ability to communicate patiently, his/her positive attitude to children and his/her social abilities such as open-mindedness, empathy, tolerance and cooperation. We invite a positive relationship of animals.
The volunteers will help with activities run by Decko staff or by external instructors. However, they will take over no responsibility. The presence of a volunteer will give the activities a European dimension and enhance the clients’ interest in European culture and in other young people’s lifestyle.

The accommodation
The volunteers will share a flat close to the centre of the town. Everyone will have his/her own room. The flat will be fully furnished, with a bathroom and an equipped kitchen (fridge, stove). They can use the washing machine in Decko.
The volunteers have to manage their flat themselves. They will be responsible for keeping order in their own room and shared space.
Meals
The volunteer will get the money for food; he/she usually prepares breakfast and supper at home and takes lunch (the main meal of the day) in a local restaurant or in the school cantine together with other Decko employees.
Pocket money
The volunteer will get his/her pocket money in cash at the beginning of each month.
Local transport
The volunteer will get money for the tickets to reach the place of his/her on-arrival training and mid-term meeting. The volunteer does not need money for transport to work. Decko will cover the expenses in case of a business trip.
